About the composer
Vasco Manuel Nabeiro Pereira, composer, orchestra and choir conductor, pianist, and educator, was born (1956) in Lisbon but raised in Campo Maior, Alentejo – Portugal. He pursued the majority of his musical studies in Spain.
His compositions have reached a wide array of instrumentalists and ensembles across the globe, spanning countries such as Greece, Italy, France, Spain, the United States, Brazil, Argentina, Israel, Cyprus, Mexico, Uruguay, Poland, Finland, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Germany, and Portugal. With a catalog that boasts over 400 works, he has harmonized and composed extensively.
Passionate about Portuguese poetry, he remains a staunch advocate, yet his expertise extends to various Romance languages.
Alongside his close associate Thomas Bramel, he co-founded Three Essential Elements, an unique partnership of composers, performers, and listeners from around the world who share the goal of presenting new music that is immediately accessible. Audience-friendly music appeals to the emotions. It does not need an explanation to be appreciated.
His works have been published by the Spanish publisher Music Vall, Edicions Musicals C.B. based in Valencia, Spain.

The premiere of this piece took place during a concert held at the Cathedral in Elvas, Portugal, on October 28, 2016. |
