About the composer
Marco Finotti, born in 1994, is a young composer, orchestrator, and arranger from Polesine, Italy, recognized for his contributions to film and sacred music. Graduating with distinction from the Francesco Venezze Conservatory in Rovigo, under the tutelage of esteemed composers Marco Biscarini and Daniele Furlati, he honed his skills further through orchestration masterclasses with Norman Ludwin and conducting studies with Maestros Andrea Ferrari, Yati Durant, Franco Piersanti, and Stefano Celeghin.
In 2015, he established the Corale di Mazzorno Destro, exploring ancient and contemporary music genres, performing in prominent Italian basilicas. His compositions have garnered acclaim, notably the soundtrack for Stefano Schiavone’s “Fate tre passi indietro,” earning him accolades at the White Deer International Festival and the Indie Film Awards. In 2020, he contributed to the award-winning film “Hidden Away” by Giorgio Diritti, recognized at prestigious festivals.
Between 2021 and 2022, Finotti composed four sacred pieces. He conducted soprano Katia Ricciarelli in Rossella Bergo’s “The Finger and the Moon” and received praise from Maestro Bepi de Marzi. In 2023, he featured as a soloist in Giorgio Diritti’s “Lubo” soundtrack. Beyond music, Finotti excels in painting, earning recognition at a National Art Competition.
