Textual variations: | Only stanzas 1, 2, 9, 10, 11, 12, 19 and 20 are performed. The "Analecta" version of the text is used. The final "Amen" is omitted. |

More info: | All these works are from the baroque period and were meant to be performed in the church during the liturgy. They have been recovered during an intensive study of the musical archives in Bolivia. Recorded in the Cathedral of Santa Cruz in May 1998, during the II Festival of Renaissance Music and American Barroque. Probably this CD is not on sale in Europe. It was bought in Bolivia by Dr.Hans van den Berg, who sent it to me as a present! |
