Heather and Linda Murray
About the composer
Heather and Linda Murray (now Mrs.Bradley) were born in 1962 and 1960 respectively and are living in Wales. In 2003 Linda was diagnosed with cancer, and despite several treatments her chances of being cured are low. A counsellor advised her to live “philosophically and creatively” and this, together with their love for music, encouraged the sisters to compose their own Stabat Mater, not only for their themselves, but also in the hope that others might find some consolation in it.
The work is composed for two voices and keyboard, but it is allowed to adapt it to fit any other way of performing it.
