About the Stabat Mater
Date: | 1989 |
Performers: | Violin and chamber orchestra |
Length: | 15.33 minutes |
Particulars: | The composer says about this piece: "In 1989 I selected parts of my composition to organize a new version for violin and chamber orchestra. It is a cycle of nine reflections, generally introspecive and with great lyrism. It makes possible an intense dialogue between the violin and the orchestra. In spite of the tragic main theme, it concludes both victorious and jubilating, as a symbol of human redemption through the suffering of Christ" |
Textual variations: | No text is used. |
Colour bar: |
As no text is used there is no reason for a colourbar. |
