Jan Mul
About the composer
Jan Mul (1911 – 1971) was a Dutch composer, born in Haarlem. He studied with Sem Dresden at the Amsterdam Conservatory. Jan Mul composed a lot of Church Music, including his Stabat Mater, hymns for the church, masses and a Te Deum (in 1936). He is also known for his Film Music for the Dutch Film maker Bert Haanstra (“Fanfare” in 1958). He was a teacher in Music Theory and Composition at the Conservatory in Maastricht.
