Vincent Persichetti (1915 – 1987) was an American composer, teacher and piano player from Philadelphia. His musical education began early though neither of his parents were musicians. Persichetti started at the Combs College of Music at the age of five, where he studied piano, organ, double bass and later music theory and composition (Read more on Wikipedia!). Besides many compositions for piano, orchestra, piano concertos and vocal music, he composed a Stabat Mater in 1963!  As there are no recordings of his Stabat, he is on my list of Missing CDs for a long time. 
An American music enthusiast was kind enough to let me know that there is a recorded performance out there in the wild world of internet audio. He stumbled on it by pure chance! It is a non-professional recording performed by the Philadelphia Singers and can be found on the Archive.Org site. Use this link to listen:

To your right against a black background you should have a list of all contents of this CDR. The fouth one is the Stabat Mater from Vincent Perchetti, it is highlighted with a blue box.
