Recorded in May 6 & 7, 2006 in Elisabeth’s Church on the Auraria Campus. The music on this cd corresponds to the “stations of the cross”, a collection of both scriptural and legendary incidents associated with Christ’s final path to Calvary and his crucifixion there. The choir performs works from the 16th to 21st centuries, following the Via Crucis and ending with a prelude to Easter. I ordered the cd through the website of the St. Martins Chamber Choir. (www.stmartinschamberchoir.org). The producers of this CD have omitted stanzas 5-8 and 13-16. The original composition by Casciolini has twenty stanzas.
