Charles Haenni
About the composer
Charles Haenni was born in Sion, Switzerland in 1867. He studied at the Conservatories of Geneva and Strassbourg. In 1906 he became organist at the Cathedral of Sion and founded the Mixed Choir of the Cathedral. He composed popular songs, love songs and romances. The important part of his work is sacred: masses with orchestra or organ, numerous works for organ. Charles Haenni died in 1953.
