Andreas Prittwitz – Looking back over the Baroque – Pergolesi, Stabat Mater
Andreas Prittwitz is a musician from Spain. He just sent me this Youtube video. He told me: “Trying to describe my music I would say it is original compositions with original instruments mixed ( I don´t like this word, prefer unify) with modern instruments ( Saxofone, Clarinet ) and improvisations”.
Stichting Stabat Mater Oirschot
The Dutch “Stichting Stabat Mater” (Stabat Mater Foundation) comes from private initiative early 1998. Its goal is the yearly performance of Stabat Mater compositions in the period preceding Easter. These performances should lead to a long-lasting tradition, a musical event that will be an important item on the cultural agenda. Therefore, the founders aim for a high standard of artistic quality, to make sure of an intense musical experience. Moreover, these performances are meant to contribute to the atmosphere of the Passion time. That is the reason that the musical programs will be executed in churches, especially those with excellent acoustical qualities.

Stabat Mater Dolorosa – Listening (from Germany)
I met another Stabat Mater fan. Michael Dölker constructed a website about a pilgrimage place in Germany, in Grimmenthal. His site has a religious, spititual character. One of the items of his site is Stabat Mater Dolorosa – Vertonungen. You will find a lot of Stabat Mater compositions, sorted by century. Most of them have a link to Youtube. He is always succeeding to find new compositions. Very special!
