In 2016 Arthur Oostvogel had a nice present for me, on the occasion of the launch of the renewed website: a new Stabat Mater composition, even a Dutch one! This Stabat Mater was composed by Willem Stoppelenburg in 2015. The work is composed for Soprano and Mezzo-soprano, Vocal Ensemble or Chamber Choir and Piano duo. It was first performed on October 11th in 2015 in the Grote Kerk in Emmen (the Netherlands)  by two daughters of the composer, Josefien (Soprano) and Charlotte (Mezzo-soprano) Stoppelenburg, Kölner Vokalsolisten.  Martijn and Stefan Blaak, Piano duo, are brothers!

In 2022 the composer learned about the Ultimate Stabat Mater Website and contacted me about his composition. He was kind enough to send me a recording on CD and the video file of the performance in Emmen.
