There is both melancholy and a profound warmth and compassion that leave a lasting impression on us. This is what we wrote in September 2023 about Gustavo Fedel’s (Argentina) Stabat Mater. Gustavo shared with us in a cordial email exchange that his Stabat Mater was premiered in 2007 at the request of the then Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio (the late Pope Francis)  and that the CD recording of his Stabat Mater was due to be released in 2024
We recommend anyone living in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to come to the Basilica of San José on 5 September at 8.00 pm, where the Stabat Mater will be performed; a work for choir, contralto soloist, choir and orchestra.
